About Me
Hi! I'm Catherine Jones - copywriter, wordsmith and linguistic dynamo.
I help people improve their skills and businesses with my two superpowers – simplifying the complex and creating unique brand identities.
I’ve been a freelance copywriter for 7 years, collaborating with fantastic SMEs, marketers, and strategists on brand voice and copywriting projects, where I’ve become known for my ability to cut through complex concepts and corporate jargon to create engaging, relatable communications.
Before that, I had a long career as an English teacher, led by my love of the English language and my drive to helping students improve, no matter what their abilities. I now bring that to my work – collaborating with brilliant businesses to help them articulate what they do, attract customers, and thrive.
How I work
I love the challenge of copywriting. It’s like solving a puzzle of how to express ideas in the most succinct, compelling and creative way possible – whether I’m writing value propositions, taglines, website copy or thought leadership content.
Lots of businesses struggle to find the right words to articulate what’s unique and special about their brand. I’m here to help you solve the riddle – you bring your expertise, I’ll bring my wordy skills, and together we’ll create something amazing.
What to expect when you work with me
We’ll start with a quick discovery call to explore what you need.
I’ll ask you to confirm your deliverables in an email.
I’ll send a proposal with clear pricing and timelines.
Once we’re booked in and completed the contract and payment admin, you can send me your full brief and background materials, or I’ll send you my own form for you to complete.
I’ll research, plan and write. Or, for TOV projects, we’ll have meetings, workshops and I’ll create guidelines.
You’ll review in a shared document and give feedback.
I’ll action your feedback. Final files will be delivered and the copyright passed to you. Full terms and conditions will be in your contract.
